Stephanie & Sebastien were married at the gorgeous Paradise Point Resort tucked away in Mission Beach, San Diego.  It was enclosed with beautiful tropical gardens and lush green trees… a wedding photographers dream location.  It was stunning.

Stephanie is from San Diego, while her husband Sebastien is from New Caledonia, a French territory in the South Pacific.  They had family fly the full distance to see these beautiful two tie the knot!  Thanks to my second shooter Joelle Julian of Joey Photo Photography for being there to help me capture their celebration!!  Here are a few of their day!

Stephanie and Sebastien have a sweet little girl, Siena, who played a big part in the celebration.  She was the most precious thing I’ve ever seen and did fantastic all day long!

Stephanie is literally one of the sweetest brides I have ever encountered.  She is gentle and kind and just has such a gracious heart and demeanor about her.  One of those personalities that has such an alluring presence.  I loved getting to spend the day with her!

Everyone was thrilled to be apart!!  You could tell Sebastien’s family was close and they were beyond excited to welcome Stephanie into it.

These party animals flew across the world to have a good party.  And they sure did have a good party!

DJ Marc Thrasher made a special appearance to help DJ for the night!!  Whoooo!  No wonder the dance party went all night long.  Marc Thrasher is a pretty big deal in the San Diego area as he can be heard on Channel 933 San Diego.  He’s also performed live at major concert events with Maroon 5, Zedd, Rihanna, Lenny Kravitz, Lady Gaga, User, Matchbox 20 and others.  It was pretty cool to hear his talents live!

Thank you Stephanie and Sebastien for choosing me to be apart of your celebration!  I truly loved getting to know you both and wish you all so much love as you do life together!

Danielle and Jesse met in a boxing class while both going through really turbulent life circumstances.  As Jesse said, they would beat out their anger on the bag.  Throughout everything, their lives began to weave together through various circumstances.  They wandered into Rise City Church, where I met Danielle in a marriage life group I was leading.  I instantly fell in love with her sweet spirit and genuine personality.  She was crazy over this man Jesse and wanted to prepare well for where she saw their future headed.

I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their wedding ceremony and dessert reception.  Jesse & Danielle + Five.  Five kiddos together make up their beautiful family.  A blend that, while challenging, is pretty awe-inspiring to watch them manage.  They’re both pretty awesome and my husband and I have grown to love them both (you’ll notice the handsome pastor in the background…. yeah, he’s mine).

Their wedding was hosted at Louis Steltzer County Park… a hidden GEM of a park not far outside our town.  This beautiful tree they call the wedding tree.  Rightly so.  Here are some of my favorites from their celebration.

Jesse made all the planter boxes as well as the games for kids.  How gorgeous are they!!?

What a sweet honor for her little boy, Tristan, to walk his mama down the aisle!

That light just dripped through those trees to make that beautiful golden glow.

Oooh congratulations you lovebirds.  I know with every ounce of my being you’re going to do pretty amazing things together in your lifetime.  You’re a perfect match and Brandon and I are so thankful we could be apart of your story.  Love you both.

One thing I love about weddings is the chance to be apart of this inner circle of people’s lives.  I meet with the bride and groom and hear their story and get to know a small glimpse of who they are and what makes up their love story…. but when I come to their wedding…. wow, I get such a bigger, beautiful picture of them!!  Growing up.  As a couple. How they met.  Who their loved ones are.  And so much more!

When I met with Brooke, I fell in love with her sweet, gentle, considerate, easy going, and bubbly personality.  She told me of how they went to high school together but didn’t actually meet until they ended up at the same college.  She told me of their beautiful engagement while traveling through Boston.  She also told me a little bit of who she was – what drove her and also who her fiancé was.  I knew they were a great couple but being around them all day long.  WOOO.  showed me how amazing they really are!  And how everyone who knows them feels the same!

My friend and photographer Kellie joined me for the day.  She has an incredible eye and a great business called Little Blue Bow Photography.  I love getting to shoot with her and was so thankful she was there to snag some alternate angles!  We got to photograph at the beautiful Catamaran Resort in Mission Beach.  Here are a few of my favorites from the day!

Brooke has the most amazing smile and the most amazing blue eyes!  A photographers dream.

Thanks to Kellie for these images.  She was able to snap these fun guy shots while I was over with the ladies.  They got ready at a quaint little house right off Mission Beach.

Slo Mo showed up and they just had to grab a picture.  A retired surgeon who rollerblades up and down Mission Beach.  I hear he’s quite the legend around those parts!

We utilized the gorgeous garden area at the Catamaran for their first look.  It was such a sweet moment!

The classic, black and white one below is a favorite.

Because Tanner and Brooke LOVE the water and grew up playing water polo and living near the beach, they chose seashells and light blues and aquas to be their colors.  It turned out so sweet and they couldn’t have had a better backdrop!

After the ceremony we used that gorgeous backdrop to grab some shots of Brooke and Tanner.  The light was extraordinary and we had a great time!

She really is as adorable as she looks!

The celebration was so sweet and I was so thankful to be apart of their beautiful day.  Brooke and Tanner – Thank you for inviting me to capture your most special of days.  You two are something extraordinary and I know your marriage is going to be tons of fun.   Mighty things will be accomplished with the two of you teaming up together.  I just know it!

This sweet and amazing couple came to me via a previous bride I had photographed the year before.  We hit it off immediately and I heard of their incredible engagement story on the top of the Swiss Alps. Yes.  Amazing!  He’s from Wisconsin, she’s from San Diego.  They met at University of Wisconsin where they both attended college.
I loved meeting with them and after talking wedding details our conversation led to what was left… finding a pastor.  Turns out they were in luck because my husband is a pastor!  (a really awesome one, too)  I told them about our church, Rise City, and a little about my husband.  After our meeting, our paths crossed again as they attended Rise City, became apart of our small group, and really quickly became cherished friends!

Even in the short time I’ve known them I know they are going to have an extraordinary marriage!  Both are committed to serving and lifting the other up.

They are humble, generous, fun, adventurous and beautiful.  I am so thankful to have the opportunity to photograph them.  It was so hard choosing my favorites, but here is just a sampling of their glorious day.

Oh, and I can’t forget to mention my incredible second shooter, Joelle, of Joey Photo!  You can check out her gorgeous work here!  She’s pretty amazing.

Taryn was soooo excited for her wedding day.  She was pretty pumped to finally arrive and see how all her planning came together!

Taryn and her dad have the sweetest relationship – one I hope my hubby has with our girls one day.  Ed has three daughters, and this will be his third wedding in the last year and half!  I can’t even imagine!  This will be his last wedding.  His last daughter to give away.  He was crazy about them and it was so cool to watch him and Taryn throughout the day.  I love it.

After the ceremony we headed out for some quick photos throughout the property.  We didn’t have much time but were able to snag some with the gorgeous architecture and beautiful golden light on the hillside

That tie is one Taryn made for her daddy when she was little.  How amazing that he kept it all these years?!!  And that he’d bust it out at the reception!  Fun.

Taryn was so sad when it was over!  The sparkler exit was a grand finale after dancing all night long.  The night was incredible and as you can tell, people truly celebrated these two!

Taryn and Colin.  You two are amazing.  Thank you for allowing me into your life to document the beginning of your lifetime together.  I hope you love your images and I just know you two are in for an awesome adventure as killer team!  Together, you guys will move mountains.  Love you both.

Alyssa & Eric Moon.  What a great last name right?  These two had an amazing celebration for their wedding day!  They were married at the Maderas Golf Club in Poway CA.  When I met with them many months back, I loved getting to know them.  Alyssa is extremely organized and cast such a great vision for how everything would go!

We got rained out for our engagement session and we joked about how surely, especially with the El Nino, it would be rainy and the ceremony would have to be moved indoors.  But no!!  We had the most gorgeous day.  Weather reports kept us watching the week before, but it turned out the clouds made for some beautiful light and a cooler covering for the warm sun.

I had some great help at this ceremony and had the privilege of having two amazing shooters with me.  Kellie of Little Blue Bow Photography, who has shot with me before, and Kristin, of Better With You Photography, whom I got to shoot with for the first time.  Both girls shot some amazing images and we had a lot of fun doing it!

Eric got Alyssa the most perfect gift.  A necklace in the shape of a Moon.  She loved it!

That plant nearly took those two OUT.  

The Maderas Golf Club was an amazing venue.  They were so accommodating and helpful with everything!  I loved getting the chance to work with them.  Oh, and they had some pretty amazing views and locations for photos 🙂

What I loved about their wedding was the ease of the message and the atmosphere.  They laughed and cried and it was all so, well, comfortable.  You could tell they were best friends.  They enjoyed each other.  And it seemed that despite how different they were, they complimented each others really well!

After the ceremony we snuck out for some golden hour photos.  The sun had just come out for the first time that day so we were able to get some gorgeous images!

Alyssa and Eric, I can’t express how much I loved being apart of your beautiful celebration!  Every part of your day was stunning.  I have no doubt you two are going to have an amazing life together.  Much love to you both!

Also, I don’t post usually ever about the others I get to work with throughout the day, but I was extremely impressed by these two.  Pamela Simon, who was the wedding coordinator, as well as Jeremy Hersch, the DJ.  (Hard at work in the photo below 🙂 They were professional, organized, laid back, and on top of it all.  They helped make a great party!  Shout out to them for making the Moon wedding extra smooth!  It was wonderful working with you both!
